Final per the update thread.

 

Score looked nice for Owensboro but if you watched the game our run defense still needs some work and tackling as a whole was horrible not to nock Apollo as they looked improved from there last game but if  they’re running for long yardage against you there’s some problems. If OHS wants to win state they will definitely have to improve in that category… The Offense on the other hand looked really nice I like what I saw from the O-line. Boone had seemingly all night to throw the ball and Carbon had room to run all over. Gus Cecil is like a Wes Welker for the Devils as well tons of options for the Devils offense

Boone 7 for 10, 167 and 3 TD’s.

Devils 390 yards offense - limited a lot by every return was 40 + yards

Freshman Evan Hampton returned 1 kickoff to the 2 (90 yard return)

Some good hits.  He got flagged for the 1st and the 3rd play here.  I don’t see that at all. Looks like the head ref is ready to throw the flag before he hits the QB.  

Does he deserve to be flagged for these?

Goodwin some monster hits as well.  He has got to get the ball on offense more.

I was sitting on the Apollo side just about in line with where the hit occurred but far side of the field.  As it occurred I thought it looked clean.  He had about a 20 yard sprint into the QB but I think the hit itself was clean, but after watching the video, I think it was about one step too late.
