Joe Burrow undergoing surgery for appendicitis, will miss start of Bengals training camp

When the Cincinnati Bengals take the field for the start of training camp on Wednesday, star quarterback Joe Burrow will not be taking snaps under center. Burrow is having a surgical procedure done after being diagnosed with an appendicitis. A source told this to the Enquirer.

The sentiment around Burrow's injury is that it's nothing out of the ordinary and that he should be on track to return after about a week or so. With Burrow out, the Bengals will turn to Brandon Allen and Jake Browning to run the offense. I guess if this was going to happen this is the best time for it happen.

Sounds like they are dealing with a "small" problem before it becomes a major problem.  Missing one week of camp should not be that much of a hinderance.

    Hopefully he has no issues.  A lot better for this to be happening now than week 12 or something I guess.

    I saw a kid have his appendix removed on a Wednesday and play that Friday night. Burrow is just soft I guess...lol

    He can be as soft as he wants in the preseason.  That's just my opinion.
