Henderson County's Saadiq Clements de-committed from Purdue and committed to Louisville

Featured Replies

Jeff Brohm reaches across state lines to pluck another top defensive lineman. Clements and Micah Carter make Purdue's DL one to watch over the next few years. He chose the Boilermakers over UK, UofL, Florida State, and Michigan, among others.

I made the comment in the stands at the game last night that #8 for Henderson was a legit D1 player if I've ever seen one and I've seen a bunch.

Saadiq Clements is a one man wrecking crew and if you get a chance to watch him, go do it.

Absolute game wrecker.  I've had the pleasure to watch him play a few times over the past two seasons and he just continues to get better and better.  I saw him throw a kid his junior season 5 yards backwards; the kid was about 5'9 215, I wasn't too wowed... then I watched him play throw a 6'2 260 kid the same distance... He is a UNIT!  Hate to see him leave the state.

In-state recruiting between UofL and UK is going to be a war with Brohm now back home.

Will he de-commit and re-open his recruitment since Coach Brohm left?

He posted that he de-committed from Purdue and is now committed to Louisville.

I'm interested to see how it goes. Louisville's last two coaches basically didn't recruit Kentucky at all.

If I'm a Louisville fan, I'm feeling pretty good about it, considering how well he recruited Kentucky talent at Purdue. If he could get kids to go to West Lafayette, getting them stay closer to home should an major plus for the Cards.

The difference in admission standards works in Louisville's favor as well.

Huge flip for Brohm.  If you want the community behind you; you have to recruit in state kids.  This happens to be a in state kid who can BALL!!
