I try my best not to be a homer on here that often.  But Cole Lanter should have garnered a nomination.  I've seen gaudier numbers obviously.  But this team wasn't loaded with a ton of wr talent.  The Imfeld kid did pretty good for never having played football before.  But deep threat wise Lanter was mostly alone and still made play after play.  1288 rec. yards for 21 TD's, 227 rushing for 4td's and 2 punt returns for TD's and 3 int's on defense.  

Plus he made so many around him better.  A true leader with actions and words.  Heard several opposing fans say on this site that he was the best player on the field.  Should have been nominated. 

Congrats to all of those who were nominated.  My previous post was not a slight on any of them at all.  All very deserving !!

This first person that would tell you all of the above are very deserving would be Cole Lanter himself.

I tend to agree with you. Excellent young man. The UK Wildcats did a great job getting him on campus as a preferred walk on.
