It's not about D1 it's about playing in the best programs and being successful and having the right platform to prepare you for the next level if that's your goal. If a team is full of alpha dogs the little dogs either join another pack or take notes from the alpha dogs on they become one. I can tell you that Coach Charles is 100% about team as is McPeek as is Hoskins. The fact that we/they have come up short in the "big" game is no indication that they are not good coaches and their goals are skewed. It simply means that on that given day the better team won. No matter how many college players, super seniors or Mr. Footballs were on the field. 

It seems that Lexington Schools are starting take things serious and putting the right leaders in the right spots to make Lexington football relevant again. Obviously programs like LCA w/ Doug Charles and FD with McPeek have had the right guys in for a while, but Bryan Station with Hoskins, Lafayette with Atchley and LC bringing in Bathiany from the college ranks are showing that these schools are tired of losing. I don't know much about the TC hire from within and I feel that Henry Clay needs some changes but overall it seems things are trending in the right direction. A ton of talent in the area just needs the right leadership. Last but not least Sayre and Chad Pennington have put dubs on the board early and often in their short existence. 

Your QB will be a Super Senior this coming year, correct?

High school football coaches are getting harder and harder to come by. They are receiving less and less support every year. From financial stipends not changing for over 20 years, to parent and community involvement disappearing slowly each year. Have you noticed how many resignations happen each year? Maybe instead of arguing about nothing over the message boards, you volunteer and help out in your community and make a positive difference? If you feel so strongly about it. Every single high school program in this state could use more help. We could all use more fountains and less drains. Just a thought I think needed to be said! Everyone have a good day!

Lexington is a very interesting area the talent is really good it seeps out to the surrounding counties. The land scape has made a drastic change since Douglass came online. the facilities and attention has really revved up.  look for #BigThings from the Lexington schools  in the very near future.
