Owen County 49 Owensboro Catholic 38 (All 'A' Classic Championship)

Featured Replies

Owen County joins Walton-Verona (2012) as the only 8th Region schools to win the All "A" Classic. Prior to this season, Owen County had only participated four times, making consecutive appearances between 2001-04. The Lady Rebels had won one previous game in the event, a 57-48 victory over Christian Academy-Louisville in 2001.

You don't see Owensboro Catholic lose in the All "A" Classic too much. Fifteen appearances, three titles, made at least the semifinals ten times in their last eleven trips. Big time win for Owen County.

Owen County had the 4th quarter magic going. Came from behind in the this game and the semifinals to get wins and the title.

Who shut down Goetz? 3rd region officials let her push, shove, and man handle anyone near her so she can get  her points per game.

Owen surrounded her in the low post
and picked off several entry passes.
Some that weren’t stolen sailed out of bounds. She wasn’t manhandling Ferguson and Moore.
