A rather interesting first half where Brossart led by six points twice mid-second quarter - 28-22 and again at 30-24.  The Birds overcame those deficits to lead 48-41 at the half.  What is ironic is that we were only able to muster 12 points in a half three days ago against Scott - Go Figure!

A 4 point third quarter paved the way for the Birds to draw off and win handily 94-61.  

We do bring the best out in the teams we play as Highlands hit 14 three-pointers on the night to our 4.   Brossart held the edge at the Free Throw Line 11 of 18 as opposed to 3 of 6.

The Birds were led by Oliver Harris with 22 points.  Zachary Barth and Brayden Moeves both netted 15 each. Moeves nailed five 3-pointers and Barth three of them.  Cole Kocher contributed 11.  Brossart's lone double-figure scorer was David Govan with 17.  Brossart had 10 players score and Highlands 12.

The Mustangs will now prepare for a bout with Newport Central Catholic in Newport Friday night.

JV game sounds like it was fun -- thanks for the info and the thorough report Mustang.  I love when you post the scores of all 3 games of a triple, I wish more would do that.

Cam Geisler appears to be getting his hoop legs under him.  He has started the last few games and is making great decisions with the basketball.  Not sure how much he scored last night, but he had multiple assists.  Very unselfish player who sees the floor and is able to collapse the defense.  Could be a great addition to the offensive arsenal for the Birds.

I would say Cam and Seth Ryan have both come along nicely this year to fill important roles for the Birds. 

How about (Sophomore) Brayden Moeves!  This might be the biggest story of the night.  I haven't seen any JV games but have heard he has been tearing it up on the JV circuit.  He has been used sparingly thru the season in Varsity games.  This had to be his season high in minutes played and points scored in a Varsity game and hit 5 3-pointers!
