10th Region Future

Featured Replies

I love 10th region basketball. Have watched for many years. Lots of good teams out there this year. What is down the road for our future?

Only good i feel as if every team in the future will stay strong and hopefully contend for the state every year:thumb:

You and me both! We may see some history in the making!:thumb:

We have two teams at all 3 grades in middle school. I see our current 8th grade teams as being strong additions when they make it to varsity level.

Campbell Co will be strong for the next several years, next years team will have 9 seniors several with more than two years varsity experience and a very strong junior class. The current JV team is undefeated in regular season play.

We hope our future is bright here at Mason,But you never know how things work out when the youngins get older.:thumb:

I have seen some of your younger teams in tournaments, they seem pretty good.

Sounds like a lot, 9 for 5 spots, with no underclass playing. Wow!!

Campbell should be strong for the next couple years, especially next year; but their problem is the same as the rest of the region in '07-'08----Mason County!! Darius Miller (senior) + Middleton & Setty (juniors) = Big Trouble for the rest of the 10th Region!!

No I do not mean starting, I mean on the roster based upon the players this year. But as we know that can change. There are some really good underclassman that will undoubtly start or have valuable minutes but senior leadership is always a plus.

The Camels may be getting varsity experience, but until they learn how to play better defense and take care of the basketball, they still aren't going to be able to beat the upper teams in the 10th. Beating the smaller schools isn't going to get it done come crunch time. Here's hoping they can improve in those two areas.....

I'd like to see them toughen up their schedule some as well, especially early!! For a big school, IMO they need to find some better holiday tourneys to play in, to better prepare them for March!! They do have an improved second half schedule with Mason, CovCath, Boone, Simon Kenton, Dixie, Holmes, etc.

Unfortunately the future is not so bright for Brossart. They have 8 seniors on the team this year. All eight play, and no underclassmen see any "meaningful" varsity experience. I see them struggling after this group of seniors graduate.

Probably right at least next year, as the underclassmen will be thrust into the limelight, along with only two seniors--Such is the life of a small school, as they often have to live class-to-class!! They might surprise some, and should be OK the following year. Next year might not matter, as I've got to think everyone in the 10th is playing for second, behind Mason!!

I also think that Mason will be very strong next year. Someone will have to step up and replace what Scott brings to the table.
