16th Region Boys - Remaining Schedules

Featured Replies

I heard some of the Rose Hill supporters saying that Rose Hill had the toughest remaining schedule. I was wondering what others thought. I'll start the argument with Rowan County - they still play Mason County, George Rogers Clark, Ashland, Elliott, Boyd, Greenup, Russell, Morgan Co, and East Carter and Fairview on the road.

That's some pretty tough games.

Can you post Rose Hill's remaining schedule so we can compare?

Rose Hill's toughest remaining games include:

Lawrence County twice, Ashland, LCA, Cincy Oak Hills (5-4 this season), and Fairview on the road. They will probably face Raceland and Elliott in the All A Classic.

I went ahead and checked Rose Hill's schedule. You left Boyd Co. off your list, but at 1st glance I would probably give the edge to Rowan Co. I'll admit that I know nothing about Cincy Oak Hills, but I wouldn't think Lexington Christian and Oak Hills would be as tough as Mason Co. and Clark Co.

I didn't intentionally leave Boyd County off the list. I must've overlooked them. Dont' get me wrong, I think Rose Hill has a fine team and a decent schedule, but there's no reason to say they are heads above the rest of the region.

Oak Hills is average this year...

You also left Montgomery Co. off of Rowan Co.'s remaining schedule. Montgomery Co. is one of the top teams in the 10th region, and their record stands at 11-1 at the present time, with their only loss being a 3 point loss at Clark Co.

Average compared to what? What Kentucky school would they be comparable to?

You're right, I let that slip through the cracks, as well. With that addition, I don't think there's any comparison between Rose Hill and Rowan Co. as far as remaining schedules go.

Cincinnati Oak Hills is a load. Bishop Brossart beat them by 12, but then again, BB is a very good team. Cov Holy Cross lost to them by 6 and BB beat Cov Holy Cross by 18. Comparing scores is not the best way to compare teams but, if you have seen Bishop Brossart play, Cin Oak Hills made BB look small.....

They are rated #10 in Cincinnati's division 1 (large schools) by the Cincinnati Enquirer

Thanks for the info Theoldguy. If that makes them average, then I would hate to see good. :scared:

As cch5432 stated they are average, but that is for them :thumb:

......Oak Hills is Ohio third largest school...that is public or private. See below....

http://www.yappi.com/Boys/enrollment1.shtml

They have the following

3- 6'6" players

2- 6'4" players

2- 6'3" players

3- 6'2" players

1- 6'1" player

3- 6'0" players

1- 5'9" player

All but one player is a Senior or a Junior.....

The information posted, was from the Bluegrass Buckeye Charity Classic program.

Wow Ohio has a lot of schools playing sports, 716 playing Football and 799 playing Basketball!:scared:

Has anybody seen who Russell and Ashland have remaining on their schedules?

-And- has anyone compared Russell and Ashlands schedules thus far to the likes of Wiremans Vikings?

Lastly, has anyone played more road games thus far then Ashland (the most) and Russell might not be far behind (as far as away games go). Rose Hill might be right there with Russell in road games.

Someone should start a Strength of Schedule thread for the 16th and update it each week following the release of the "Great" Cubsters Ratings.
