I expect the East/West division in the SEC to end. The 4 team scheduling pods makes too much sense not to use it. Add that to the expanded playoffs coming soon, the new goal won't be winning the East, but winning enough games to potentially make the expanded CFP. In the right scenario UK could win 10 games and make the CFP. I think for most fans, that would be the epitome of expectations. Stoops I feel can do that.

If there were a 16 team playoff this season, all it would have taken to have had a chance to get in would have been to win either the Mississippi State or Tennessee games--both of which were winnable.  It isn't too farfetched to see Kentucky make a 16 team playoff as a 14-16 seed.

Shoot UK would have had a chance to make the playoffs this year if they had won the Mississippi State and Tennessee games. They would have still needed help this weekend, but would have had an outside chance. They most likely would have been sitting at 7 right now if they were a one loss SEC team.

I'm not sure this is true. I think if Stoops wins 7-9 games every year and goes to a decent to good bowl game, there will be very little discourse ever amongst the fans.

I’d even say a few “clunker” 6 win years sprinkled in will be okay.

I love UK football and think Stoops has done a fantastic job and should get whatever he ask for.

With that said, as long as Kirby is at UGA, we aren't winning the East...I expect UT and Florida to restock pretty fast given their coaches.

At the end of the Day, I am not sure KY high school football has enough elite talent to get UK over the hump...
