Nice win! And further proof that computer rankings are flawed. Central now is playing outside of the cupcakes and own a 3 game losing streak.

Central has shown very poorly in two games against the 16th Region with very sloppy play and poor shot selection.

 

It will be interesting to compare Russell's 16-point win over Central with Rose Hill's narrow escape at the King of the Bluegrass.

Russell continues to win and still not playing their best ball. When they peak it may be bad news for the other teams.

Playing Louisville Central in Louisville is a little different then playing them in Lexington.

I do think you are trying to take something away from Russell.Remember Central played RH after a very disappointing loss to Warren Central-I doubt very seriously if the had the proper respect for Rose Hill.Here they were playing an undefeated Russell(9-0) team in the first round of a major tournament.Give Russell the proper credit.

How much difference could the location make. They were both at neutral sites.

Absolutely! Russell deserves their respect! They beat a 'decent' Central team whose best win was against Elizabethtown who is now 4 wins and 4 losses. I posted that I expected Russell to win and by a margin just under double digits. Central is not an elite team, but this is still a solid win for Russell. I also believe Russell will surprise some people in their next game. I believe the 16th is coming up!

 

And the venue means very little for Central. They do not have a large fan base by any means. In fact, I would say RH had as many supporters in that game as Central did.

Gatorlover you are new to Bluegrass as evidenced by the tone of your post.As far as caring about what I think you must -it is easily detectable in your post.As far as Russell winning tomorrow night I hope they do but I realize that most people rightfully favor Mason.In the span of a few minutes you went from wishing Russell Good Luck to disrespecting them.If a team can't get respect after a 10-0 start they are going to have a difficult time attaining the respect that should be accorded to them.

Does anyone know what defense Russell utilized to have Central shoot toward 20% from the field?

Gotta be able to win in neutal sites and on the road to be considered a good team.
