UT names QB

Michigan transfer Joe Milton III.  I know nothing about this young man.  Can any of the OSU fans add anything?  Did he ever see the field while of Michigan?

Oh yeah he played a lot.  Michigan fans referred to him as the next Cam Newton at one point.  As it turned out he was significantly less accurate than Cam Newton.  1,000 yards and 4 TD/4 INT before he lost the job at Michigan.

Saw him play a few times on tv. Big, strong kid with a really good arm. Can really sling it. But he missed so many open receivers I couldn’t believe they had nothing better. I will be watching the UT passing game as the season progresses.

By attrition?   In reading various pages and stories, sounds like all their QBs were abandoning ship anyway.

Well, looks like Rocky Top has dug to the bottom of the barrel.  Guess he can't be much worse than UT's previous QB?  Maybe the kid will catch on in Knoxville?  His head coach Huepol (however you spell it) is a former QB (was he a Heisman winner?) so maybe he will find something in Milton Michigan could not.

Either way the next 5 or so years could be some LONG years for Orange Nation.  Whatever the NCAA hands down is going to hurt and recruiting will be tough for a while.  Hopefully the fan base is patient and reasonable with the coaching staff but I doubt it.  The UT fan base historically has been even more unreasonable and less out of touch with reality than the UK fan base.  This coming from a UK football season ticket holder, lol.

Milton is looking decent but UT is playing Bowling Green soooooo?

If I got this right he was 11-23 against a team ranked 129 out of 130 FBS teams. Could be a long season in Knoxville.
