I can't speak for @TheDeuce, but having a good look at a championship game winning score against Boyle County a week after going into Paintsville and knocking off 4A's other goliath is not a scenario you're likely to see play out every year. 

I don't expect the Flyers to drop off much. From the sound of it, there's a lot to be excited about for the future. I hope they have staying power. They were a breath of fresh air last year.

Broyles is a big loss but I like Franklin to be a top contender again.  They have talent all over the field and there should be no need to get the players to "buy in" any longer.  Beating Central by a large margin at their place then beating JC at their place in the semi's were program changers.  Big coaching staff, upgraded facilities, tons of momentum.....  I think we are seeing the birth of a perennial power.  I'm an Eddie James fan and although I didn't like how he handled the Highlands hiring and u-turn, the hiring of Sphire made everyone forget about it pretty quickly. 

I look for Corbin to be back up there again and although Boyle has some big shoes to fill they should compete as usual.  Boyle will need to fill some holes on the oline and McDaniel is a huge loss. 

The biggest question mark for me is Central.  I'm just not a huge Dantzler fan.  I don't think he's a bad coach by any means but I don't think he's close to Coach Scroggins. (I still can't believe he's gone).

Pretty much what I was saying. All credit to FC, they were literally a play away from a title. They lost a few key pieces and you just don’t get that close to a title very often; unless you’re one of the blue bloods. 

I expect FC to be very good again in 21 and into the future. 

I agree in all accounts. But being close to the program I see the level at which people are working at FC. So I feel like there is a chance! But yes, u don’t beat who they beat late in the year often…. Time will tell! Go Flyers…

I don’t think anybody would be surprised to see FC right back in the hunt next season.

I agree. Last season was the squad I had been watching for 3 years. I knew they had the pieces to make that run but fell just a few feet short of a title. They have some nice pieces returning but also lose some even bigger pieces. This season will tell us if Franklin County is ready to be a serious yearly contender or if they will go back to the 8-2, 9-1 regular season only to lose in the 2nd or 3rd round annually.
