Open Job: Shawnee

Coach Mucker did a great job at Shawnee. He just gets it. Really worked for the kids to find them educational and athletic opportunities beyond high school. He will be hard to replace there. Hopefully they will consider his top assistant coach Norman Ellis.

Agree that Coach Mucker did a great job.  Shawnee is challenging and he did a great job focusing on the right things.  He definitely will be hard to replace.

Norman should get it. He’s been by Mucker’s side since before day one.

JCPS is putting a lot of money in refurbishing the physical plant at Shawnee.   It would be great if Shawnee turned into a showpiece in a few years.   Maybe it will be one of those "If you build it they will come" type of things and attract good students including athletes.
