gold sunrise
What a game. The gym was packed as expected. Montgomery Co was without Stephens and GRC was without Jones, Stenzel and Knowles. Both teams played thier hearts out. Wood fouled out with 5:46 in go in the 4th. GRC then went with 5 guards, one senior, one junior and 3 sophomores. Great experience for our bench, will only make GRC a more dangerous team come tourney time. Evan Bennett was 8-8 at the foul line. :ylsuper: Hats off to both teams and the effort they gave tonight. All 3 Lexington TV stations were there, should be some great highlights on sports tonight.

Not many teams could pull off a win with their top 3 scores not playing. I knew we had a strong bench...tonight just proved it.

gold sunrise
Why were the top three scorers for GRC not playing tonight? Jones is out 4-6 weeks...surgery on his wrist. Stenzel is on crutches, hurt in the South Laurel game, and will miss till Janurary or longer. Knowles...not getting his assignments turned in on time. gchs_uk9
Knowles...not getting his assignments turned in on time. That's no good. Hopefully he'll get that in order soon. GRC can win the Fifth/Third at Catholic with his scoring.
gold sunrise
GRC can win the Fifth/Third at Catholic with his scoring. Jones and Stenzel will not be playing in the 5/3...this really hurts GRC's chances.
