Cross was missing a starter but end result likely would have still been Conner W..

It was good to see basketball again tonight, wishing both teams the best of success this season!

I’m a bit surprised, but not that Conner won, but by how much. I’ve not the benefit of knowing much yet what Conner is about this season, but with HC having Hicks, McClendon, and Meyer back this season, I would’ve thought that those pieces would’ve translated to a more competitive game with closer results. I don’t know yet the strength of HC’s supporting cast, but still I was expecting a fairly sound team this season. The season is still young so it’ll be interesting to see how things progress moving forward. 

McClendon was out this game, but will return.

Conner played a great game and deserved to win. Holy Cross was missing starting guard Brandon McClendon (13 ppg) and our best perimeter defender. It would have made a huge difference on both ends of the floor. Conner was able to get into their offenses a lot easier without him on the floor. Could have still been a Conner win who knows but much much closer for sure.  Congrats to the Cougars. I think Holy Cross will be just fine.

McClendon being out explains a lot. 

Brandon McClendon was down in Florida playing a football exposure camp.  He certainly is good for 15 pts, but Conner is always coached so well.  

He was at the National High School Football All Star Game. He had 3 touchdowns, an interception and won game MVP. The kid can play.
