December 16, 200619 yr Back on topic, I have to assume the taxpayers do pay for this trip and I really see nothing wrong with it. It would be expensive but I would like to see all our legislators go over to see first hand what is happening and talk to the troops The only thing I can't stand is when the grandstanding happens, as it inevitably does no matter who goes over.

In fact, in 2004 his biggest qualification for office was that he would have been, in my opinion, a much better choice than President Bush. With that said, no Senator Kerry did not say that only stupid people go to Iraq. What he said, in an inartful and confusing way, was that President Bush was stupid for taking us into Iraq. Regarding Senator Kerry's wounds in Iraq, the Navy records show that he earned the medals he received. End of story.

December 18, 200619 yr Diversion,,, children do this when the subject matter doesn't suit their liking. By changing the subject or object of discussion (i.e. Kerry-Bush) they attempt to divert the ridicule/scorn in another direction. Typical!
