Bracken County 50 Augusta 47

Featured Replies

I don't think anyone from Augusta, even White, controlled the game. Looked to me like Hall and Hamilton controlled the game. Bracken pushed it when they wanted and then dumped it down to "Big Country" in the half court. The game was controlled by Bracken, maybe not by design, but each player did what they were expected.

When Josh White controls the pace of the game, Hardymon scores 20+. When that happens, Augusta beats these teams everyone knows they should be beating.

No doubt about that. Hardymon did not get enough touches in the 2nd half, partly due to Bracken doing a good job denying him the ball and partly because screens set for him were very weak and other Panthers were crowding the lane and not allowing him a clear pass to get the ball.

Bracken over St. Pat by 5. Augusta over Burgin by 12. Mason over whoever they play by a bunch!

I have not seen many good screens set the last few games. If you don't want contact in the games, stay home and play X-box.

After getting to their first region appearance in years and a nice start to this season, could it be Augusta has gotten somewhat complacent during this three game losing streak? With a squad that's not so acustom to winning this could be the case. I know its early, but I can't say I didn't see this coming. The Offense has to get going this weekend against Burgin because if it doesn't then next week could get ugly(Rose Hill and @ PC).

I have to agree, if they do not get going with Burgin, next week Rose Hill and Pendleton will be a very rough and long road.
