Rumor has it that Kevin French, Michael Campbell and possibly Ryan Fritts will be transferring elsewhere to play football next year. Any truth to this?

Why would they leave? With the great tradition Corbin has, and the success that Campbell had this year in particular.

I am sure that all three had established eligibity, so unless they moved there could be problems. I would be really surprised and disappointed if they left Corbin.

I agree . . . it would be a big loss. It may just be idle talk. I hope so.

I would expect Fritts and Campbell to get as many carries as any Hound next year if they stick it out. I would expect Corbin to be more run oriented next year with most everyone back. French, if he can stay healthy, may start on both sides of the ball.

Sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side though.

Campbell is a horse. That would be a huge loss. I really can't see Corbin being more of a running team next year with Cashen back there at QB.

These boys every one have college potential and would be making a big mistake by leaving Corbin. Corbin should be very good next year and will be getting a lot of publicity and more than likely make a very deep run into the playoffs. It takes a lot of luck to get there but with the talent Corbin has returning, if they come to work every friday night, they should control their destiny. Where else would these boys get this kind of attention around here?

You would think that there would be eligibility problems, but all the past cases of players transferring from Corbin and not having to sit out may make them feel otherwise. French's brother transferred to Lynn Camp for his junior season and came back to Corbin for his senior season without missing a game.

It would be a gamble to try it without moving though.

Were all of these guys first year players? Did they think they would be the stars this past season and not happy with playing time or what?

The whole situation baffles the heck out of me...They have the chance to be on a good team next year with a little work and determination. I hope it is all rumor.

Publicity is what you make of it, and doesn't matter where you play to get it. If you got college potential it will be seen no matter where you play. Most of the local teams will be better next year, and with the new alignment have chances to get deep in the playoffs. The old 4a area schools are the ones that see their chances improve the most.

After talking to some folks who know 2 of these kids it does not look good for corbin. Should know when school starts back in jan.

Can't agree with you more. If they wouldn't use the horse this year, what makes anyone think it would be different, Will never understand how a coach would ouverlook a kid that it takes halve a football team to bring down.

Let's hope it is just a rumor. Still wouldn't suprise anyone would it? Corbin only manages to hang on to 4 or 5 by their senior year. Wonder Why?

It takes a different caliber of person to play at Corbin not all meet that criteria.
