GRC 66 South Laurel 62

What kind of defense did the GRC Cards throw at the SL Cards.....must have done a number on Smith....if the big three do not carry South Laurel it is hard for them to beat good teams. I am sure that South Laurel will bounce back with a couple of wins next week against Russell Co. and Corbin

Mostly man, but some matchup zone as well. SL seemed to have some trouble with GRC's quickness.

South never could get a good rhythm going on offense, and yes they had alot of trouble with the quickness of Knowles. He is an outstanding player. He did just about anything that he wanted to do with the basketball tonight, and he was not at a 100%.

Nice win for the Cards; always like to see the 10th do well. Any chance this game will get a few more people looking at Knowles as a possible Mr. Basketball candidate?

Way to go GRC! Knowles is the man! When is GRC gonna be in Eastern Ky? or are they?

The closest they will be is Feb.2nd at Ashland.

Glad to give the updates.

Where is Knowles going to go next year?

I here Kansas St. is the front runner

Does anyone know why 2 of South's best players didnt see any action the second half. I dont think I saw Casey Hamm of Mark Conley get in after the half at all! Whats up with that!?

GRC will be without Tristian Jones for the next 4-6 weeks. He is having surgery next week on his wrist....hurt during football season. This will hurt the cards...with his size and presence ...will be hard to replace.
I thought he had been given clearance by the Doctors. Did he re-injur the wrist?

Congrats to GRC on a Huge win......

Yes, in the Franklin Co game. First B-ball game of the season.

Sorry to here about Jones. Outside of Jones and Knowles they do have other nice players, but losing Jones will hurt them. He is a force inside and has a great touch around the basket.

Great win against South Laurel!!!!

Listen to Coach on the post game radio show last night. Want to give praise to Robell Rogers and Josh Wood on their excellent defensive effort last night.

I watched games at Bourbon Co. from about 2 oclock on and Knowles was by far the most impressive player I saw all day. Tubby may have left the building too soon. I know for sure he can out-shoot anyone he's got and also may be a little faster.
