Collins looked like the superior team tonight. They put on the single most impressive team performance so far in this tournament in beating South Oldham easily.

 

That said, although Oldham has not looked like a world-beater in this tournament, they've won 30 of 33 games this year and shown themselves to be very capable of adapting and surviving. You don't win 30 games against the schedule they've played without being a survivor.

 

Should be a good one.

Collins suffered through foul trouble in their loss to Oldham County a month ago. I don't see that being as large an issue tonight. Momentum and quality of play thus far at Henry County favors the Titans. They've looked strong over the last two weeks.

Oldham hasn't quite looked themselves in the region so far, but 30 wins over a quality schedule gets your attention...

 

I hope both bring their "A" game - they are pretty much the undisputed top 2 teams in the 8th region. If they do, tonight's going to be a blast!

 

I would do everything I can to make this game....but if you can't, Pegasus Sports goes on-air at 6:30 pm ET. We're doing a cooperative effort with the A-V dept. at Henry County HS. I've said all year Collins would win the 8th, I'll stay with them.

Collins looked really good last night - much better than the other 2 or 3 times I've seen them. Can they perform that well again, two games in succession? And really, it was less about Collins raising its standard than it was McKnight simply putting the entire team on his back and imposing his will. The McKnight I saw last night cannot be easily defended by a high school kid - he is simply too strong and too quick. But OC runs 9 or 10 deep - will that depth enable them to do collectively what maybe none of their kids can do individually?
