I needed a few days to think about this game before posting any comments. When the head coach and sons lose a family member the day of the Williamstown game and continue to coach and play, and then come to play away at Henry County the day after the services, My heart goes out to them. I feel this had an impact on both games and you could see it in the coaching and playing of the team.

This being said, the same five players have started every game so far this year, with three hard nose players chopping at the bit to get their starting spots back from last year. When the coach, at practice, calls out for the top five, 9 players should walk out on the court. Perkins,Giles,Davis,Henson,Brown,Carrolton,Mattox,Jones,Jones. IMO, starting different players, depending on who we play, each game, will continue to keep all the players working hard to get a starting spot. Isn't this every coach's dream. I believe gallatin will come back strong from this loss and every player and coach will work hard to make it happen. GO! Wildcats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is in my nature to be optomistic. I think it is great that Gallatin has such a deep bench, I am not sure what baffles you, Now I am confused.

Grant is not an "A" school. Walton-Verona might be an average basketball team.

I, by no means, took what you said out of context, I was unclear what you were trying to say. That is why I said I was confused. This is an open forum and people can and should voice their opinions. I think both I and Wildcat Legend just didn't understand your intended message other than the team is very very deep.

Did it ever occur to any of you all that Henry County may just be much improved??? They have a coach who works thier butts off in the offseason, they lost only one player who actually played last year, but yet they still get little credit. Gallatin is a very solid team this year, but IMO, from what I saw, Henry County has a really good defense this year. They are talented. I just think we should give HC some credit rather than talk about how stunned we are from the score. I guarentee the majority of you all havent even seen them play this year. I had to get that off of my chest. When it is all said an done, both teams should have very promising years and I think the districts should be pretty interesting.

Very good post. In all of the hoopla we just forgot to give any credit to Henry. They have a nice team.

I have no doubt that Henry Co has a good team this year. You are right - I have not seen them play. If they are on the same caliber as Gallatin, then the 8th region is looking up this year!

Walton played at Henry Co.

I saw both teams play this year and Henry is not in the same class as Gallatin I would guess they had an off night. I could see Henry pulling some upsets this year but they are not a good all around team, such as Gallatin.

How would you know ? Have you seen GC play? They have looked very good in 4 games and bad in one. i have to give Henry Co. alot of credit, they played very well. Oh, i forgot, you played on the best 8th region All "A" team ever:rolleyes: We are so lucky to have you amongst us.
