Blowouts are okay in every sport.

Unless your child is on the losing end?

I'd tell my child that sometimes the other team is that much better, just like I was told when my team had their brains beat in.

Stop sheltering kids from the real world. That's why kids are soft.

When we see scores like this in football, we get 4 threads of ranting. Blowouts are ok in all other sports?

In fact, in football playoff season we would already have 2 threads of ranting about should Brown show up, why are these teams in the playoffs, reduce the number of playoff teams, etc.

Football is king here on BGP, which is why I imagine you see more peoplel voice their opinion on this on the football side of blowouts.

It is what it is in my opinion, sometimes teams are just that much better than their opponents. In this situation Male didn't schedule this team to beat up on them, they had to play them to advance in the tournament. To be honest it doesn't sound like they intentionally ran the score up either, they probably could have scored 150 if they had wanted to.

Sometimes people just don't want to hear the truth.
