This is something I just thought of. Why does both AFC and NFC games not on the same day. To be fair the two teams that win today will get a extra day of rest compared to the two that win tomorrow. Just curious.

49ers get the ball after the Vikings go 3 an out and go down and get a touchdown on 8 plays. San Francisco leads 7-0.

Vikings come back with a 7 play drive with a 41 yard pass from Cousins to Diggs. Tied at 7-7.

The 49ers in control now with a FG and a touchdown so far in the 3rd quarter to now lead the Vikings 24-10.

While it breaks that way some years, that is not always the case. That has more to do with network coverages and NFL rating placement. Unless they changed a rule I’m not sure about.

I don’t think it is always like that with the one seeds playing on Saturday. It just is how it worked out this year.
