This is something I just thought of. Why does both AFC and NFC games not on the same day. To be fair the two teams that win today will get a extra day of rest compared to the two that win tomorrow. Just curious.

Notice that the 1 seeds play on Saturday. 2 seeds on Sunday. Another reason to strive for that #1 seed even when you've clinched a #2.

While it breaks that way some years, that is not always the case. That has more to do with network coverages and NFL rating placement. Unless they changed a rule I’m not sure about.

I don’t think it is always like that with the one seeds playing on Saturday. It just is how it worked out this year.
