Kentucky vs. Indiana

Featured Replies

Good game and match-up in the paint, should favor Morris again. Indiana will force UK to knock down the perimeter shots and if they don't, they will pack it inside, like most teams will start to do.

Adjustments will have to be made, with more dribble penetration from Jasper and Bradley. Crawford will need better shot selection and not force the action. Reduce the TO's and extend the defense on the Hoosiers, to negate their outside play. Will be close game, until late and UK will pull away.

UK - 69

IU - 60

Kentucky has to reduce their TO's. This is what is keeping them from putting all their opponents away, as in last night. Or against UCLA and UNC, this prevents them from winning.

Agreed and once the corps of Freshman, get more game experience I see them playing more and helping with minutes reduction.

To me, a lot of the TO's are a result of Crawford attempting too much, one-on-one moves, combined with poor entry passes, along with not reversing the ball enough, but rather trying to dribble it over. Bradley will play more 2Guard, I think and transition Jasper to the 1Guard, over time.

5 Seasons in a row before that.:sssh:

I kept hearing Tubby shout push the ball, push the ball last night. Buzz and Fig kept repeating from Rob Bromley that he was wanting to up the tempo, to reduce the TO's. This sounds good to me. He is wanting to get more shots attempted per game.

I liked the upbeat tempo and Coach Smith's intensity. It appeared on more than one occasion, a verbal blistering was being offered to some....Perry and Crawford, most noticeable.

Make the players accountable, by limiting playing time and rotations, see if that doesn't make some a little more coachable. I thought the announcers were right on, with the comment about the Freshman "try" to run the offense and are looking to execute the set play.

Agreed, my friend, agreed. :thumb:

Morris is the clear match up winner over DJ White? Not sure I buy that one...

I like his aggressiveness, his shot is good and White, can be prong to foul trouble. Unless they double him down low, I think White will get into foul trouble and Morris, will have another solid game.

The same could be said when RM has to guard White. They are just about a mirror image...

It will be a good match-up and I believe Morris, will have the better of it.
You got to remember they are different teams.

Did you not read the bottom of the post. I said they are totally different teams, but with a smiley face. Read before you type.

Different teams yes, but it was the same coach who was winning those games, which was Tubby...:thumb:

For the sake of his seat not getting A LOT hotter, Tubby needs to win this one badly.

Tubbys seat getting a lot hotter in the eyes of you, or getting hotter by the person who counts which is the AD...

Well I have not seen IU play this year, so I just know what I see on paper and it looks like an evenly match game on paper. However I think UK comes out and makes a statement in this game by a pretty good margin, in what would be a hopefully wild and crazy Rupp. I think even the older type people who usually dont yell as much will really be into the game since its the first time we play IU at home in awhile. I know I will be there going crazy for this game...

UK 79

IU 61
