Manual fired a warning shot over Male that nearly sent shock waves. The Bulldogs were lucky to survive and will enter the playoffs with the top ranking, but it appears this may be the most wide open this class has been in a while. Central Hardin suddenly is trending down rapidly after their big loss and they have an inopportune time to face a Meade County team that is finally healthy and riding high after shocking 3A DeSales. Another good game to take note of outside the Top 10 will be McCracken County and vastly improved Apollo in Western Kentucky.

That Fern Creek/Bullitt East game may be one to watch.

It's hardly fair that Marshall County has to travel all the way to Louisville to play Trinity in the first round. Does any school in the state in any class have to travel farther?

Well Marshall County shouldn't even be in the playoffs, but we won't go down that road here. :lol2:

It's all in the way you look at it. They get the opportunity to play one of the top programs in the state and in the nation at Trinity's stadium. Regardless of how bad the result might be it will be an experience the Marshall County team will talk about for the rest of their life.

I doubt it's something MCHS players will talk about the rest of their lives. If anything they'll be trying to forget it before they hit the WK Pkwy on their 5 hour ride back home. This is proof that not everyone should get to participate in the playoffs.

I'm afraid Central Hardin probably doesn't belong here. This is a talented team, but I've seen other 6A teams that I think are currently playing better. Last week's 43-7 loss at 5A power South Oldham wasn't as close as the score indicates.

 

Saw George Rogers Clark two weeks ago and Central Hardin last week. GRC is playing better right now, even though their record is a much more modest 6-4.

 

One week after CH got pummeled on the road by a 5A top 10 team, GRC defeated a 5A top 10 team (Conner) on the road.

 

I don't think I'd have GRC #7, but I'd move everyone else up and maybe consider GRC for #10.
