Thoughts? Analysis?

If every one played like they did last night Augusta could win this game.:thumb:

Augusta 61 Fleming 54,Fleming will strugle to score this year.

I'll go with Augusta this time as well in what some would call a mild upset, for several reasons.

 

1. Fleming County put a whooping on A-Town last year.

2. The game is at Augusta this time around.

3. Fleming County lost a lot from last year's squad. They will have a tough time scoring points this season. Unless there is some new blood I don't know about, they're at least a couple of years away.

4. Augusta already has a game under their belts, and it was a nice win against a rival.

 

Augusta 54, Fleming County 50.

It would be Augusta's first win over Fleming since the 2002 District Tourney, and only their 2nd win over the Gold and Black since 1982. The way both teams look this year maybe not so much an upset, but historically it would be huge. But I'm going to go with the here and now.

This will be a good test. Not sure about Flemings players but I am sure they will be physical. The test is in how our boys respond. Last year we got pushed around alot. If they stand their ground we will be OK.

I agree with you mcpapa some would call it a mild upset but the people have to look back at last years game. Augusta played without dustin staggs for the whole second half cuz of a torn ACL and also played without guard josh white due to a concussion from a scrimmage the week before. The game is at Augusta this time but sometimes that aint always good. Should be a good game to watch. i might just have to make my way to Augusta friday.
