Looks like to me after week 1 the SEC is going to only be probably 4 SEC west teams and Georgia. IMO

Unlike Tennessee, Missouri and South Carolina...Auburn knows what, "It just means more" actually means!

Herbert sails it out of the end zone on a 35 yard passing attempt. Bo Nix is the story, not the preseason top 15 NFL pick.

After the first games of the season the SEC west was 6-1 and the SEC easy was 3-3.

I’m picking up a vibe that you’re not a fan of the SEC :lol2:

No I’m actually am that is my favorite. I meant the SEC east not easy (typo) I was Just stating a fact that the SEC other than Georgia is all the west division again. I’m just a little bummed by it. I would love to see a year where all 14 teams would be bowl eligible.

Id have to check the math on that, but I don’t think that’s actually what you want. I believe if all 14 teams were bowl eligible every team in the conference would have to have at least 2 losses and no team would make the playoffs from the conference. That’s not what you want.

True but I was just giving an example of that I really am a SEC but it could depend on how other teams do I could see them taking a two loss (close games) SEC team over a 1 loss team from the Pac 12 or the Big 12 in some seasons, but you are probably right. It's just sad that after only 1 week it looks that the SEC east is actually weaker than last year.

Is that a problem though? Are you a UK fan or just SEC fan? If you’re a UK fan you should probably relish in the fact that the SEC East is down.

I am a UK fan but I think this years team is like most other SEC east teams and not as good as they were last year. I think last years team would have a legitimate shot at winning the east but honestly I don't think this team has a shot. I hope I'm wrong.

Discussing this game today, it seemed like Oregon completely outplayed Auburn for just about the entire game. Bo Nix looked like the 13th grader that he is and Herbert looked like the kid we expected him to be.

But then somehow, Auburn hadca chance to win in the end. Auburn defense suddenly started locking down the Ducks and Bo Nix made two good throws. Then it was game over, drive home safely...Auburn wins.

If Oregon doesn’t fumble that snap late in the 2nd quarter, I honestly believe they win by 2 TDs+. That play completely flipped the momentum of the game.
