June 15, 20197 yr Legal or not marijuana should be taken off of employee drug screenings immediately. I agree but as long as it's classified as a schedule one drug that is tricky with insurance and federal regulations
June 15, 20197 yr Before CBD there was a pill form that could be doctor prescribed, Marinol. It had medicinal value but didn't get the user high. Correct. And CBD is pretty much close to the same thing if it doesn’t have the same qualities and makeup of Marinol.
June 15, 20197 yr I agree but as long as it's classified as a schedule one drug that is tricky with insurance and federal regulations Yep. Hopefully it will get fixed one day.
June 15, 20197 yr Before CBD there was a pill form that could be doctor prescribed, Marinol. It had medicinal value but didn't get the user high. I’ll also add that when Marinol was first introduced to the scene it wasn’t talked about as much as CBD is now. Doctors were hesitant to prescribe Marinol. Nowadays doctors and nurses are advising patients to try CBD instead of taking pain pills, dealing with anxiety, etc.
June 15, 20197 yr That’s interesting to me. I’d love to know what they ended up doing and why they were cash only. Cash feels damn near obsolete sometimes. 100% still regulated as money laundering for federally regulated financial institutions to handle any cash of a marijuana dispensary. I still have to take the training every three months. It is so stupid but still true. I've honestly been waiting for a 1920's style robbery spree to happen because of it.
June 15, 20197 yr I'll take your word for it, I have never seen them and have no idea where to get any of it. With Michigan and Ohio having medical, and Michigan fully legal shops opening in 2020 it will be irrelevant if KY doesn't legalize it. Market is flooded.
June 15, 20197 yr In the not too distant future I think we will get to a point where the majority of the population uses/medicates with some form of cannabis. We need to study it more but we already know it works so well to help so many different conditions. After all everyone, it is a plant. I'm all for legalization. But the plant line makes me laugh.
June 15, 20197 yr I'm all for legalization. But the plant line makes me laugh. How come? Because of the ability to manipulate the chemical makeup of the plant?
June 15, 20197 yr To answer the question of the topic it depends on what you want. I think the number who have tried or would try is much larger than many of you think. On the reverse I think the number who would be regular users would be much lower than many of you think. I have or would participate from time to time but I do prefer the buzz from alcohol over weed. But have plenty of friends who do flower or dab pens.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m surprised there hasn’t been organized takedowns of dispensaries and their security. Sounds like a great Netflix movie.

June 17, 20197 yr I think everyone that currently smokes, currently smokes cigarettes and/or cigars, and people who consume alcohol would all smoke weed if it were legal. The frequency would be another debate. I think your number is too high, maybe double reality. There are still many professions (or jobs) as well that drug test, public service, transportation, manufacturing, etc. and a positive test is an out. I really don't care if it is legal or not, I am not a big fan of drug or alcohol use. I believe people should find a healthier way to find a mental release. "Get off my lawn!" :-)
June 17, 20197 yr That would make things different. I think a high percentage of people would try it. I don't think a high (no pun intended) percentage would become regular users. I completely quit drinking almost 9 months ago, and am amazed at the number of people I've come across that don't drink. That’s because drinking makes people feel like garbage the next day. If only there was some recreational drug where you could take it in the evening and still feel good the next day.......hmmm
June 17, 20197 yr I don't see it. The stat I posted above has drinking at 56%. I think people are more averse to smoking than drinking. If legal, I could see perhaps 40% of people smoking weed. Many people in my generation smoke instead of drink because of the lack of hangover.
