Montgomery County's defensive strategy is making their coach look like a genius thus far. Shifting their outfield and Beechwood is hitting everything right to them.

Except Castleman's base hit where the second baseman should have been.

Two out of three ain't bad, right?!

Adams gets a 2 out hit to drive in Fuller (leadoff double). Two more hits load the bases. Then with 2 strikes on tge #9 hitter the runner on second falls down getting secondary lead. Trusty to Castleman then back to Trusty to get the third out on the runner on 3rd trying to score. Montgomery Co leads 2-0 after 4.

Horrible baserunning by Montgomery County may have cost them at least 1 more run. With bases loaded, the runner off 2nd takes a huge lead after the pitch. Throw down cuts him off as he then breaks for 3rd. Runner on 3rd is easily thrown out trying to score.

2 to 0 Montgomery County.

Hit batter and wildpitch has Tiger on 2nd with no outs.

Devin Johnson walked for the 3rd time after a pop out to short.

2nd baseman dove for a ball to his left, then throws the ball away to SS, Castleman scores.

Burger singles to left to drive in Johnson.

2 to 2

Top of the 5th.

Devin Johnson intentionally walked for 3rd straight AB.

Doverspike grounds in hole to 2nd. 2B tries to get force ar second while laying on ground. Throw gets past SS covering 2nd. Castleman scores.

Berger base hit scores Johnson.

Noll good battle but strikes out.

Trusty strikes out.

2 to 0 Montgomery County.

That runner on second there actually tripped and fell while getting secondary lead.

Thanks, I missed that.

Talking Montgomery Co strategy, he has intentionally walked Devin Johnson all 3 at bats. The last intentional walk comes back to bite him as Johnson scores the tieing run.

They had the 9-hitter up. It almost looked like Montgomery was trying to bait a throw so the runner on third could break for home, except the runner on second tripped and messed it all up.

Montgomery again with four outfielders and Beechwood hits two right where they were.
