May 18, 20197 yr Koepka shots even par today...and loses absolutely zero strokes to the lead. Jordan Spieth and Adam Scott looked like a pair of 12 year-olds out there today. Both were 2 over, and sit 9 shots back. Dustin Johnson could only manage a 1 under, and he's among 3 players who are all 7 shots back. Tomorrow's viewing will be half (if not worse) than the Sunday of the Masters.
May 19, 20197 yr Koepka with 3 bogies in a row on 11, 12 and 13. Meanwhile, Dustin Johnson is 3 under thru 15. The lead is just 2. Unbelievable. If Koepka loses this, it'll rival Spieth's meltdown at the Masters a few years ago, as far as a Sunday back nine collapse.
May 19, 20197 yr Koepka bogies 14! Lead is just one. But DJ is over the green on 16, going to have a tough shot to be able to just get up and down from there.
May 19, 20197 yr DJ with another bogey on 17. Koepka stops the bleeding with a par on 15. Lead back to 3. Johnson had his chance, but this one is over now.
May 19, 20197 yr Didn’t we all figure DJ would tighten up as well? They said he's now got the career runner-up Grand Slam. Finished 2nd in all 4 majors.
May 20, 20197 yr They said he's now got the career runner-up Grand Slam. Finished 2nd in all 4 majors. True. And he is a great talent. But he has let more than one major slip away over the past few years.
May 20, 20197 yr I cannot wait to see how Koepka does at the US Open at Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach is not a course that gives the longest hitters a huge advantage like Bethpage. It will be fun to watch. The conditions today at Bethpage were brutal. Woodland shot 2 under and moved up something like 30 spots. Some REALLY good players shot 75+. I love the way Koepka plays - seemingly with no fear. I will always root for Tiger to win but I really like Koepka too.
