Mack The Knife
The Boston Celtics all time leading scorer. Bill Russell called him “the best all around player I ever saw”. Starting watching the NBA around 1967 so I saw Hondo play quite a bit on TV.

CincySportsFan
Heard something this afternoon that I'd be totally for...naming the NBA's 6th Man award the John Havlicek award. Come on Adam Silver, make this happen.
swamprat
My favorite memory is a shot Hondo made over Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabbar) in the 74 series in Milwaukee. John was 6 feet from the basket and threw up a shot that went 20 feet up in the air, well over Alcindor's outstretched hand and dropped in.
