Reds down 1-0 and getting no hit in Mexico. It amazes me how year after year we struggle with the Cardinals and can not hit Adam Wainwright.

Another game we are getting great pitching and can not score.

Irwin with a triple in his first AB. Reds trying to play add on to a 2-1 lead.

Irwin does not tag up on a line out to center which the throw was off line and Suarez strikes out looking. Schebler singles in the run. Big hit there.

Schedule says 4:10 pm game time.

Right. Reds.com says the game will be nationally televised on ESPN, but it's at 4:10 ET, not at night.

Correct. My bad fellas.

*Irvin

And it’s a fielder with a cannon, in shallow center, with his momentum coming forward. You absolutely do not try that with only one out. Not with Suarez following.

Saurez didn’t work out, but the rest of that inning is why you don’t.

Sure you do, be aggressive and he never had time to set up and throw as the throw was up the line. Just different thoughts.

No, you don’t. You said yourself in the last series thread that the second out was the rally killer.

If he gets thrown out we’d have heard that narrative again.

Reds win 5-2 and is a huge win. Offense still struggled a bit but got some clutch hits and great pitching again. Let's get another one tomorrow.

Second out is a rally killer but this guy was on third. Totally different situation.

Dietrich with a big night, Home Run and a Triple.

No, you can't make the 2nd out at home in that situation. There are a ton of ways to score from third with 1 out, don't send him home unless it's a sure thing.

Guys it is Phillip Ervin. Glad to see him get a triple and show the front office he should never have been sent down to start.
