Ashland Blazer/Owensboro (KHSAA Boys Sweet Sixteen® Round 1) Updates

Featured Replies

Tipping 25 minutes after the conclusion of the Campbell Co. and John Hardin. I tought while I was doing the one I would just go on and start the 2nd game to save some time. I think this will be a tough one for the Tomcats but that's why they play the game.

Dicky Martin (Ashland's radio guy) couldn't help but take a dig at Johnson Central in the pregame, referencing JC's blowout loss earlier. :lol2:

Good first quarter by the Tomcats, leading 11-10 after one. Ethan Hudson is off to a good start with seven points in the opening stanza.

Let's go Tomcats!

You're a sight for sore eyes. Great to see you back, JD!

Owensboro leads at the half, 29-22.

I know it’s probably wrong but the KHSAA website has it 27-24 Owensboro at the half.

No, that's correct. It is 27-24. The stats link above had the score wrong for a minute or so.

Great job closing out the half by Ashland to keep it tight. Ashland's staying close without anything from Cole Villers. His hot perimeter shooting hasn't carried over from Morehead to Lexington, at least not so far.
