The nightcap on Monday night will see host Mason County, champions of District 39, battle upstart Bourbon County who pushed GRC to the limit in the 40th District finals.

 

At least on paper, this appears to be one of the more competitive first round battles. Who will come out on top?

The most talented team doesn't always win, believe me I know. The team with the home court advantage doesn't always win, but there is that advantage. Hope to make the trip to Mason Co, just depends on my mom.

That is a big advantage.

I'm not going to deny some home court advantage exists, even if it's as minute as not having to board a school bus. But it's not at all the unfair setup that some make it out to be IMO.
