Final from the Capital City. Panthers led wire to wire, and dominated the Bruins.

Panthers played great defense. They caused a lot of turnovers which led to Frankfort layups. They also hit some timely three-pointers.

Once again, the 11th Region is the best Region in the state.

Just looked at BGP's Top Twenty. #17 Frankfort lost earlier this season to #16 Lexington Christian, but defeated #11 South Laurel, #8 Henry Clay, and now #7 Ballard. Wondering where Frankfort ends up in the upcoming Top 20?

Obviously, Frankfort has improved dramatically - what every coach hopes will occur. Because Frankfort lost to unranked North Oldham (13-15) in December and unranked Franklin County (13-13) in late January, I think.

 

Gotta love a stretch running horse making that late surge.... :-)

I'm sure they were. The roster they gave us was incomplete and didn't always match the players. Hard game to call when you don't know who's who.

 

And - generally everyone's missing their footballers that early in the season.

Regardless, a two point loss in the first game of the season should hold little to no weight in any rankings in February.

The only kid missing from the first game of the season was DaJuan Davis. I do agree with Deuce though, a loss in December should have no bearing on a ranking in February.
