Where are they transferring to?

The ones that come to mind are Luke Moore who played QB for LC back in 2003, he transfered to Boyd Co. Then you had Corey Humphery, who played QB for LC last year, he transfered to Paintsville. Then you had Nathanial Dials, who played DE and TE for LC last year, he transfered to Johnson Central. Also some good players like Jason Spradlin have quit during these losing seasons.

It does seem like Lawrence Co loses a couple of their best players every year to transfer. That signals that something may be fundamentally wrong IMO.

Are these kids having to sit out the additional year upon transferring?

It is odd when starting skill players transfer...

I think that Luke Moore is the only one that faced a conflict with eligibility. All these kids had a bonafide change of address so there transfer was totally legal. Also with the current problems the LC school system is having, it made it that much easier to be eligible.

Luke transferred for reasons that shouldnt be discussed on this board considering that is it a personal matter.

I know Luke really well and we are close, he is a good friend of mine and to say he transferred for any other reasons is foolish. Luke LOVES LC football but certain things happened that forced him to transfer.

I as well know the situation that you are talking about. I didnt mean to make it sound like this kid didnt have a good reason for transfering, just that he faced some conflict with the KHSAA about his transfer I believe.

Personally I think LC football is OK. The past few seasons have been really tough for fans and even more the Players and coaching staff. Billy does have some support in adminstration but there are a couple on the board that would rather see the money football brings in given to another sport that is still pretty new to LC and produced two brothers that were state champs "hint, hint" ;)

Billy still needs more help in the coaching department. They have alot of coaches but most of them are volunteering their time to help LC football and Billy.

I know of several rumors that were flying around LC during the football season about Billy and other things, but after talking to several people close to the program they are just that RUMORS!! So end of that discussion.

Now for the future of LC football, it is a bright one. I am not saying next season you will see a 10 - 0 season but with hard work in weight room this winter LC will improve. There is still alot of work to be done on the field such as learning to hold onto the football. If not for turnovers this year LC could have been close to a .500 ball club or even 6-4. I seen and heard alot of good things about the youth at LC and it is promising.

JC Alumni stated if LC could keep their talent, I think they can. The last 2 that transferred wasn't for sport reasons, it just happened to be their top 2 players from the year before. LC will keep their talent and grow back into the proud program it has become over the last 20 years. :thumb:

I really dont think he will be around the LC program at all. We have some great coaches in place and the program will be fine, trust me.:thumb:

I agree with oldone ,don't go there,LC will be fine with the staff they have.

I think LC does have good coaches I've been there in the locker room each week I seen each game plan they put together and they have been good one's but like so many people have said the coaches can't get out their and make the plays on friday nights they have had a very young team for the past two years and they have had very low numbers and IMO the only place coach G has came up short is getting the kids out to play for him why i am not sure you can hear a hunderd different reasons from people but the bottom line is he just hasn't gotten them out to play . Yes he lost two good kids to transfers last year but they was a pile of more kids in that group that just didn't play the kind of kids that could make a program . But you cant say that are coaches cant coach because if any one seen them play this year you saw a team that never quit they never put their heads down even when the game was out of hand these kids play with heart untill the last play of every game so I give the coach the credit for that even in the last game of the year agiants GC these kids practice like their record was 8-1 instead of 1-8 these kids love their coach and they show it by the way they play for him it's just that most of the time we got out maned by some teams with a lot more numbers then we had . If you look back on 06 season and look at the half time scores we was in every game but the numbers come in to play and we would just be wore out by the last quarter. I for one hope we kep the coaches we have and I would love to see them get some help . Good luck Dawgs in 07:D
