All State Baseball Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Kentucky RB Benny Snell JR will forgo his senior year at UK and enter the NFL draft. No one should be surprised by this announcement.
Jumper_Dad Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I hope a decent team drafts him. I'd hate to see him drafted by a team that is struggling or one with a lot of depth already at RB. I think in the right situation Benny can be pretty good at the next level.
sportsfan41 Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Any word on if he still plans to play in their Bowl Game
Bengal Maniac Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 Any word on if he still plans to play in their Bowl Game He probably needs to. I would say he is 2nd-3rd round pick, due to the value of the position and his needing to show more.
Voice of Reason Posted December 14, 2018 Posted December 14, 2018 I don't blame Snell for going. Get the money and I don't think he can improve his draft slot with another year in college. However, I am dubious of his prospects of going in the first two rounds. It will be all about his 40 time. He did not catch many balls in UK's offense so that doesn't help. Nick Chubb went in the second round so Snell could get there. I see those two as being similar. If Snell does not clock a good 40 time, he could drop. His testing at the combine and pro day will be huge in determining how high he goes in the draft.
