Rockcastle County 13 Bell County 0

Featured Replies

I still think it was a catch. The reciever did bobble the ball but pulled it in long enough while getting his feet inbounds. The ref was trailing the play so he couldn't have had the best view. I would like to hear some more opinions on this play from others.

This play didn't effect the outcome of the game, Rock caught enough Bobcat passes in the same endzone all night.

I feel pretty positive that he never gained control of the ball. But like you said it did not effect the outcome of the ball game.

Sports over time said it was a catch.

One thing that makes the Bell fans feel better about the game is that Bell only started 5 seniors and 1 senior, Justin Dozier was hurt the 1st drive of the game, and was not able to continue even though they tried. It makes everyone feel better that there were more sophomores on the field than seniors.

Also, Rock, from what I understand started 9 seniors on offense and Im not sure about the defense. Rock was an older and stronger team and it showed.

Also, why in the world UL would pull Durham's scholly is beyond me. A guy that big played basically every snap and is a handful. Hes a great football player.

It was.

Rock was the better football team. They are an older and bigger team than Bell was. It all started with their O'line, they opened up holes all night long and their defense was great. Bell missed some opportunities, but theres no doubt Rock was the better team.

The only thing that bothered me tonight was the poor sportsmanship showed by some of the players. There was a lot of talking. Bell got an unsportsnamlike penalty that uncalled for and not needed. Also Rock on their 1st sack the defender taunted Nelson really heavily. Then in the 4th quarter they did it again and the ref threw the flag. Theres no reason for either team to act that way.

Other than that it was a very physical hard played game.

That stuff happens every time Bell and Rockcastle play...sometimes it's just not as noticeable.

Been a tough week for Brad Durham (or so we have read here in The 'Ville). Hope he had an outstanding game.

Good luck Rock!

To say he had an outstanding game would be an understatement. He pretty much trashed the Bell line on both sides of the ball.

I have a couple more to follow:

There was some hittin' goin' on in this game.

Wish I could make these bigger.

Here's the Rock TD pass that was ruled OOB. Brian Milam and myself both agreed that he came down with it. If you look at where he was in relation to the back of the EZ, he bobbled it one more time, but had one foot in.

Great pictures. TD looks good to me. Had plenty of time to gain possession of the ball. Too bad the officials didn't see Bell QB cross the LOS when he threw the one pass tonight. A face mask was called but he replay clearly shows the hand did not touch his face mask.

Good to see the Rock playing so well. They have a tough one next week though.

I'm not 100 percent sure he was across scrimmage on that play. He took a step back before making the pass, and it appeared he was behind the line — just barely — when he threw it. That was a very crazy play, regardless.

Thanks for the compliment, BTW.
