November 8, 200619 yr is that we live in a PURPLE country...no more of the red and blue states. About as evenly divided as we have ever been. Clinton failed to establish a Democratic majority and now Bush has hit a stumbling block.

Clinton failed to establish a Democratic majority and now Bush has hit a stumbling block. Perhaps we can all move to the center and work together as AMERICANS to solve some serious problems facing ALL of us. I think that is the message that the voters have sent.
November 8, 200619 yr I think we just might be getting to where we need to be. If 49% of the country is keeping check on the 51% in power, the balancing act has a better chance of working. I can only dream of the day that provides a NO party system...

November 8, 200619 yr I hope that is the case...unfortunately I see gridlock in the final two years heading into 2008. The main problem that I see is that the top of the ticket does not have to run again. They can be as stubborn as they want to be with no direct reprocussions. However, they can hurt their party.
November 8, 200619 yr Author Then again...the House can bog things down with investigtions and in-fighting and so forth. There will be a lot of jockeying for 2008. The question I have, is will the Democrats rule with the many Dems that ran closer to the middle in this election or will they swing back left with Pelosi and company.
November 8, 200619 yr Not only will that never happen it would never work. That's such a shame. Run on YOUR platform, and not how many just vote for your side because that's "what they believe". From the ads, phone calls, mail, and door knocking, the entire system is a joke. It needs blown up...

It's exactly the same as baseball, the game is fine, the money ruins it.

It's exactly the same as baseball, the game is fine, the money ruins it. I can buy that. I'm talking about the whole process. It's a joke right now...

November 8, 200619 yr Personally, I think the dems will attempt to accomplish some things and not drift too far from the center. There will be a few pushing for investigations but most will avoid getting bogged down, unless they are met with total resistance.
November 8, 200619 yr Best post ever by you... billyrayjoebob and diamond dandy getting along. :scared:
November 8, 200619 yr Now that's funny... I'm all ears as far as listening to what the Dems' plans are...
