I just came from the footbal field where the Rams are getting ready to strap on the gear. I spoke with several of the players & coaches and they seem to be very focused and are very business like. I liked the attitude I saw from everyone. Great coaching staff and an excellent group of young men.

Cvillecat - are they just practicing instead of attending classes now? :creepy:

Or do you guys not have school today for some reason?

I think they are out because of election day. I think a lot of public schools are out. Scott County is.

They are out of school for the election. The Polling place is located inside the Old high school and it has been a practice for years to close school on this day. Some of our Freshman are registered voters!!!

:D now that IS funny! Reminds me of local comedian-country-boy Carl Hurley in speaking of his HS football days...he said they had to travel to Eastern Ky to play and they suspected these kids were older than your typical HS players - and then he knew there was something up when upon the opening kick-off he is chasing the ball carrier down the opponents sidelines and he hears this 6 year-old yelling to the ball-carrier "Run Daddy! Run!" hehehe!

That is the best one I have heard in awhile. I know when they played JFL we would always go to the games and say we would like to check if some of them drove to their game.

Public Schools are always out on election day. Some schools are voting polls. Also State workers get off a half day on election day.

I remember when my kids played against Clark-Moores in Richmond KY and some of their 8th graders had FULL BEARDS!

:thumb: I know that the conversation at my polling place this morning has nothing to do with the election, all I heard was about the LCA game coming up this week.

That's what makes our small community special. Those people really know whats important.:ylsuper:

Don't miss many!!! that is the understatement of the year. I say you could count on one hand the number of games The Greatest Fan has missed in 10 years. That tells me two things....1. he loves Ram football...2. he is getting old.

I know him so I can assure you it is a combination of both.

All the above are correct.

Good to see back cville. I hope all is well. Trust in your faith.

And that special interest you have is a great football player and even a better person:thumb:

We need to see if we can get my special interest down to your special interests field to meet and greet.

What are they feeding those kids? I think our bunch is lucky to have a couple of hairs of peach fuzz on their face.
