I look forward to seeing the new renovations to an already nice facility.

The field is BROWN bermuda and is in fairly good condition...All bermuda is an UGLY brown this time of year.

 

But the field is pretty solid and Coach Rains does a very good job of protecting it for playoffs towards the end of the season.

 

Hopefully field conditions and referees will be NON-FACTORS is in this game and the game will be decided by great plays and great players and great coaches - the way it is supposed to be, right! ? :thumb:

I couldn't agree more. This game format is what high school football is supposed to be.

By the way - for the record, and I just replied via email to someone from Raceland ensuring our football field was located where our school is, but I had to also tell him that I truly think the Raceland folks are some of the finest and most honorable people I have dealt with...It has been a real blessing and pleasure to correspond with such fine people! :thumb:

 

I appreciate your zeal and your enthusiasm for your team and it really seems your hearts are ALL in the right place. Your community should be proud to have you guys represent it!

 

Good luck and safe travels to Lexington! I look forward to meeting many of you in person this Friday night...and after that we ALL root for the other onto defeating NKY and beyond!

I just came from the footbal field where the Rams are getting ready to strap on the gear. I spoke with several of the players & coaches and they seem to be very focused and are very business like. I liked the attitude I saw from everyone. Great coaching staff and an excellent group of young men.

That is a good thing to hear. These boys need to go in with their heads on straight. If not this could be a long night for Raceland. I truely hope Hoof and the gang worked on pass coverage. They will get eaten up if not that frosh QB is the real deal.
