6A Playoff Bracket (Home Field Advantage)

Featured Replies

I noticed that there were some questions in other posts about home field advantage in the playoffs. I believe that this is how home field advantage would play out under different scenarios (color code at the bottom for teams who control their own home field destiny). I placed the 6A teams in there as if the playoffs were to start today per KHSAA district rankings, so obviously there will be changes, but I thought this would visually clear things up for people (hopefully). I may be wrong but I believe that this is correct. Feel free to critique if there are any mistakes.

I believe I saw on Jason Frakes' twitter the other day that the NKY district plays the Lafayette, GRC, Madison Central, Tates Creek district.

Looking at potential Trinity/St. X, Male/Manual, Freddy D/Scott County games in the SECOND round... Just dumb.

District 1 plays 4

District 2 plays 3

District 5 plays 8

District 6 plays 7

Trinity would have to lose to Ballard to have potential 2nd round game with St.X. according to this bracket. I’ll be surprised if Trinity would lose to Ballard. Most likely Male vs St.X 3rd round and winner playing Trinity 4th round.

Isn't the bracket he posted wrong? I don't think he has the right districts playing each other.

District 1 plays 4

District 2 plays 3

District 5 plays 8

District 6 plays 7

This is what I see on the KHSAA website.

It is wrong. Bac2369 has right districts posted above.

That makes more sense.

Here is the updated bracket if a MOD is able to move it to the original post. My apologies for missing the cross bracketing.

These have the correct cross bracketing but some of the 1 & 2 seeds may change due to the outcome of the following district championship games this Friday. North Hardin/Central Hardin, Douglass/Clay, Trinity/Ballard, GRC/Madison Central.
