There were plays that could have turned it into a much larger victory if we look at buts...

 

Dropped passes, missed receivers that were open, a fumble deep in Highlands side, a few missed tackles that would have killed Highlands drives...

 

 

In the end a Colonel win on road in a hostile environment against a top ten team in their division.

 

Yeah buts and ifs are lame, I get you. BUT, Cov Caths breaks seemed a little better than Highlands breaks. Two turnovers resulting in Cov Cath with the ball in the red zone beats one fumble at midfield.

 

The thing that gives me confidence is Highlands beat Cov Cath at driving down the length of the field and scoring. Plus they didn’t need miracles to get the game close.

I’m sure Cov Cath can play a lot better, but so can the birds. It should be another good one.

Who was the guy in the sparkly jacket on Highlands sideline?
