One is a tournament, one is about finding the best team. This literally makes zero sense. The NCAA Tournament isn’t designed to find out who the best team is, simply because it has more teams in it? The NCAA Tournament by design names who is playing the best basketball in March. The CFP is about naming who played the best the whole year. This is isn’t rocket science. Look no further than the year we had a National Championship that pitted a 7 seed vs an 8 seed. Yeah it was cool for UK and UConn. Admittedly I didn’t pay attention to UConn that much, but UK was a dumpster fire that whole year. So yeah it’s great for the fans of those schools that make a magical run, but that’s not what college football is about. College football is about consistency and dominance. Every game matters. If you can’t see how these two things are different then I don’t know what else I can say.

The reason college football is my favorite sport is because of the urgency each game brings and it starts week 1. You don’t get this in any other team sport at any level. It makes college football unique. I don’t want to see the unique nature of college football go away.

October 5, 20187 yr There have just been years where teams 5 and 6 had good cases to be in the playoff and deserved to be in, just not as much as the 4 who did make it. Could Ohio State last year be the only reason you're saying this?
