Is 2A really bad enough to where NewCath is #10?

 

No now there district is that bad. But they have played Cal, Belfry, Campbell, and Conner. That don't seem like a walk in the park. There isn't a team ranked below them that could handle that kind of schedule. Seems to me you really hold a grudge against them.

 

The lowest rated of those four opponents is Conner. Conner would be favored to beat every team in 2A outside the top 3. In other words, if things held true to form, every team in 2A outside the top 3 would have lost those four games if they scheduled them.

 

The same can be said about Danville. They are ranked #7 but the 3 teams have beaten them would beat anyone outside the top 3.

 

I don't men to beat a dead horse as I have pointed this out many times on BGP this season, but wins and losses are only part of how a team gets judged. Strength of schedule is just as important. If New Cath or Danville had played several other schedules of top 10 teams, they would likely be undefeated or perhaps one loss.

I don’t understand why people get so worked up about rankings. Every team gets a chance to prove their case on the field during the playoffs. In the end people will only remember who won and maybe the runner up.

I think more than just the top 3 could play with or beat Pulaski County this season. That was a bad loss by Danville.

And they weren’t competitive in a single one of those games. So if they’re #10, 2A must be really weak outside the top 4. Also, Lloyd is the best team in that district.

 

Lloyd? Didn't they struggle against Grant County? Pretty sure newcath was competitive with Conner last week. Top 10 is the best 10 teams in 2A. Know matter how you look at it. See ya in few weeks.

Win or lose next week Danville could have, and should have beaten Pulaski. Danville has a better team than the Maroons.
