Absolutely ugly first half for the Colonels, but they return home from Columbus with the win.

Casey McGinness with a HUGE game for Cov Cath, coming in clutch on defense as well as offense.

First time this year the team faced a significant amount of adversity. So nice to come out of game with a win and learning what areas you need to improve on. Bye week now, comes at a nice time to rest up and have guys continue to heal up.

Congratulations to the Colonels. I figured this would be a tough game being on the road. I hope that the quarterback for the other team is okay, I never like hearing of serious injuries to anyone.

Way to represent Kentucky Colonels!

Great updates @colonel-fan and @Colonels_Wear_Blue

Next time I'll let CWB be the play by play man and I'll be the color commentator.

Does this mean Casey played defense tonight? Has he been playing defense all year?

Haha, sounds good to me. For what it's worth, don't ever let my posting stop you from adding on your own stuff!

He was a VERY good defensive back as a freshman. They've not been playing him on defense consistently, but they will occasionally put him in of there's a particular receiver who keeps beating one of our DB's downfield.

He did play some defense late in the game. He has played on some situational downs.

Casey McGinness's 194 yards tonight against DeSales puts him at 978 yards for the season. He's currently averaging 163 yards per game, and if he keeps up at that pace it would take him 7 games to overtake Galen Healey's single season rushing record of 1,990 total yards, set back in 1994.

Casey also needs 5 more 100+ yard games this season to beat Cole Chadwick's single season record of 11.

Casey's 194 yards rushing tonight also put him at 3,959 career yards rushing, so that means he broke Cov Cath's program record of 3,882 yards, previously held by Cole Chadwick and set between the years of 1998 and 2000.

This was a huge win. A team that lost to Cardinal Mooney by a point on a goal line stand that has 4 d 1 players.
