I did the same. Never again. Ridiculous to be paying a phone off for 2 years IMO.

I'd like a new one but the price tag keeps me from it. I have a 6 and it works fine so I'd rather spend $1000 on something else.

Apple has definitely saturated the market with enough phones at different price points now that they literally have a phone for everyone. If you like new stuff they release a new phone every year, but like a lot of you have expressed the 6’s and 7’s still work just fine and you can still get new 7’s at a much cheaper price. It’s all about what you want. I’m planning on selling my 7 and the guy at the ATT store said it should sell easily for $400. Makes the price tag more manageable.

Because they are "nothing new" just slightly more powerful/feature laden and the way technology/computing power has been increasing you could argue iphones are behind where they were five years ago relative to other technology.

 

If anyone feels they should be going up in price like this I would love to hear their thoughts on why it makes sense other than because apple can.

 

And I am no apple hater, I have plenty of their products and like them all.

This is where I'm getting off the upgrade train. I've updated every year for the last 3 or 4 years, and I'm just not feeling it this year. I currently have the X and just don't see what the benefit of getting the newest version will do for me. I just got a new Surface Pro for work, and that's satisfying my tech needs for now.

If I had the X I wouldn’t upgrade either. I don’t think there is a significant upgrade from X to XS.
