This is the first time in a while that I think the region is very top heavy.

Very good top 5. Any of these teams are capable of being very good. It should be interesting to see how each one developes as the season progresses. The parity is a tribute to the hard work of the kids and coaches of these programs. Good luck to all teams.

good top 5. Rose Hill is not as far ahead of the pack as they were last year. This could be a great year for the Rams.

It's Rose Hill's to lose, and they have 2 D1's so it's tough to anoint anyone else. However, I think the vulnerability of the Lady Royals is when one or both get in foul trouble, which will happen. The physical play on some nights will get some bench time, and that will spell doom against a quality opponent.

I agree. The depth of Rose Hill's bench is their biggest vulnerability. But Queen and Terry compliment each other on the court so well, the 16th is theirs to take. You can't double team both girls all the time. They play selflessly, working the ball to whichever one is open or has the hottest hand. While they both put up big numbers, neither one worries about the individual stats. That is why RH will be back in Bowling Green this year.

Well, I'll agree with both of the last 2 posts about the Lady Royals, and I will add that for them to be very successful, it will take a very good season from Brit Faulkner. She is very athletic and can defend well. If she keeps her composure, they'll be very serious!:thumb:

I agree with spindoc. While Rose Hill has two legitimate Miss Basketball candidates, the chances for return trips to Richmond and Bowling Green will rest on a solid season from Brit. Brit is very capable and is a force in any game.
