LCA vs. Bath Co. Predictions

Featured Replies

# 2.... I agree 100%. overall team speed and coach Raines. Raines is one of the best coaches as there is in the state, in any class.

Cville - you are correct - Rains and his staff have done a spectacular job this year with THIS team because they really lost the entire set of SKILL players from last years team and were able to re-build to have a BETTER TEAM than last year IMO.

The keys to this years squad is TEAM and SPEED...they are all smart kids or they wouldnt make it in the classroom at LCA - much more difficult classes and expectations than normal school systems - so the coaching staff is able to throw more challenging schemes at them and teach them "next-level" types of plays and formations, etc.

The difference I see in this team from last years is they play within themselves. They have that ability to take what the other team gives them and make something positive happen. That is a credit to the coaches & the kids that believe in what the staff is teaching.

Good to hear that the work in the classroom is stressed. That is the way it should be. Last years Raceland team had two Presidential scholar's and several other athletes were honor students. Makes a coaches job a lot easier when kids understand what is being taught.

Weather looks to be clear for Friday. Last game against Bath was a mud bowl. Could make a difference with the speed that LCA has.

LCA 56

Bath 8

Stevens has not been 100% all year. But if one is ever too optimistic about ones team. He only needs to read one of Ledgend's post. Always negative, no matter what the subject.

I just hope Bath can stop the Mt. Sterling Thunder.

Not sure what you mean, I don't consider myself negative just a realist. Check my predictions and the scores for the year, I think the only game I have been wrong on was the Corbin game. Every other time I have had a close prediction. I even predicted the order of the teams in district. That being said Bath maybe better than I thought they were last week.

LCA 28

Bath 6

LCA 38-22.

:thumb: :thumb: He certainly is cville. He runs a class program that have top notch athletes and he gets the most out of them.

Here are some interesting (or maybe not) items as I look at the remaining 4 teams from our District left in the play-offs…

Team Against ALL District PF-PA (Record)

LCA 37.33 - 6.33 (6-0)

RHS 43.17 - 9.17 (5-1)

Paris 29.00 - 23.67 (4-2)

Bath 21.17 - 21.17 (3-3)

Team AgainstPlay-OffTeams ONLY PF-PA (Record)

LCA 36.67 - 10.67 (3-0)

RHS 34.67 - 13.67 (2-1)

Paris 14.00 - 37.33 (1-2)

Bath 12.00 - 35.67 (0-3)

Team Hd-2-Hd Score

LCA Bath 33-8

LCA RHS 21-10

LCA Paris 56-14

Congratulations to Bath County for making the playoffs for the first time since 1998. The current senior class were fourth graders the last time they went to the postseason.

:thumb: :thumb: I can certainly second that! Great job by Bath's players and Coaches.

LCA wins, but I am for the under-dog, BATH Co.

They have had a much improved season- GOODLUCK

LCA is the shocker. They were suppose to be rebuilding-

"Good job" goes out to both teams

Great news for the Eagles, Hunter Swaim will be on the field for the first time in 9 weeks. Hunter suffered a bruised kidney and has been medically cleared to play unrestricted football.

He will probably not be used as much as Hunter would like - he has been off - no contact - for 9 weeks - however, he has been on the practice field in full gear everyday - learning plays/schemes - just wasnt able to HIT...so he will need a few games to get back into "game speed" - but he is a great athlete and we will need him this week at least on Defense.

I call an upset. Bath 21 LCA 14. Bath Co. has a lot of confidence coming into this game...As they should, having the best season in for quite some time. The last meeting between the two, Bath made it a close one for most of it. From reports from other coaches that have played LCA they don't have a lot of speed either. I think it will be a good game to watch.
